Put gas rod back in and use a small rod, push it in slowly several times to see if it moves easy ( checking spring ). some will not move, if not clean the gas tube with a brass brush.

run a 8 penny finishing nail thru it.Ĭheck to make sure the pin to hold the gas tube in place is there, if it is not the tube will roll up and close the gas hole up. Make sure the gas tube is really lined up. Have tried several types of ammo, different gas settings, and positions of gas plug with no luck. Tightened it up making sure notches ligned up without blocking gas passage. I pulled hand guard and found gas tube was loose. Took to local guy and he found clip at gas adjuster popped off. Picked this up used and has had problem cycling round.
